We are a group of true childhood friends and have been for over half a century now. We call ourselves Maassluisboys . Maassluis has nothing to do with the municipality of Maassluis. But we experienced our youth together in the Maassluisstraat in Amsterdam West. We have now all passed the age of 50, but we have remained Boys.

After annual local activities , the idea arose in the early 1990s to go on a city trip abroad. Our first city trip was to Paris in 1993. After that, many more would follow. Every year we look forward to the next trip. The suitcase with stories and old cows from the ditch gets bigger over the years. But the hilarity about this is proportionately great.

This website is a summary of the trips we made afterwards.

In the first instance, this site serves as a nostalgic retrospective for ourselves. But feel free to look around at the destinations we have been to and the photos and videos we have made. Don't expect professional recordings. Everything was captured spontaneously. 

One of our dearest travel buddies has passed away unexpectedly several years ago and his loss is still felt by us with every new journey. We commemorate him along with other friends who died too early on the In Memoriam + page.
